Library Resources for W290: Helpful Databases

This guide is designed to help you identify and evaluate information sources.

Finding Books!

In order to find books, you will want to use IUCAT, the library's catalog. This is the place you'll go to find books. Remember that an eBook still counts as a book resource, it's just accessed online.

TIP: When searching for books, if you're not finding much luck just searching what we have here at IUS, click the "Search All IU" button to request books from other campuses.

Inter-Library Loan

If you discover an information source that the library doesn't have, and/or all copies are unavailable, you can request an item through Interlibrary Loan. This is where we ask a library outside our system to loan us an item. If it's a book, it may take up to 2 weeks to get, so keep this in mind.

Journal articles are emailed to you and typically take 2-3 days.
