The Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) has negotiated agreements with publishers for free open access publishing to support researchers in sharing their scholarly output. IU Southeast authors are able to publish research articles as open access in most or all of these publishers' journals.

As of Summer 2025, IU Southeast authors are able to publish their articles as open access (OA) for free with the following publishers:

Cambridge University Press

SpringerNature (does not include publishing OA in Nature or Nature-branded titles)

Authors & Artists Showcase: Call for Participation!

Did you publish, exhibit, or complete any scholarly or creative work in 2024? Let us know! As we are preparing for our annual Authors and Artists Showcase, we want to make sure we include as many IU Southeast community members as possible. If you published, exhibited, or completed any scholarly or creative work in 2024, we would love to include it in the showcase. Please send us a copy of your work(s) as soon as possible for display during the show (by Monday, October 13th); we will return the materials to you after Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Digital media can be emailed to raking@iu.edu. Physical items may be sent via campus mail to Robin King, Library Room 206A. Note that the Authors and Artists Showcase will be on display from December 1, 2025, through February 13, 2026, with a reception to honor participants on Tuesday, December 2 from 12:00–2:00 PM in the IU Southeast Library Art Gallery. This exhibit celebrates the scholarship and creativity of our faculty, staff, and students across all disciplines, and includes research and creative works published or created in 2024.
