In fall 2021, some 93.1 percent of ELs (or 4.9 million students) received services in English language instruction educational programs (LIEPs) in public elementary and secondary schools.

INTESOL’s mission is to strengthen the effective teaching and learning of English as a Second Language in the State of Indiana while respecting individuals’ language and cultural backgrounds.

Kentucky TESOL, Inc. (KYTESOL) is a statewide professional organization for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages. Our purpose is to distribute information, to discuss current issues, and to improve the teaching of English to speakers of other languages.

TESOL International Association advances professional expertise in English language teaching to speakers of other languages in multilingual contexts worldwide through professional learning, research, standards, and advocacy.

NABE’s mission is to advocate for educational equity and excellence for bilingual/multilingual students in a global society.

The Center for Cultural Resources (CCR) at Indiana University Southeast is designated as an integral part of the IU Southeast Curriculum Materials Center for Education students, area teachers, and others involved in diversity education.
