Reception: Thursday, February 27^th from 5 - 6:30 p.m., with a screening of “Waystation to Freedom,” Larry Basham’s documentary, to occur afterwards, at 6:30 p.m. in the 3^rd floor reading area of the Library.

About Larry Basham’s Work

"I like to think of myself as a visionary that prefers to take documentary-style photographs that show a true glimpse of perceived reality at that moment. I do not try to take just good photographs; I attempt to take great photographs. I start with the idea that there is visual essence that can be enhanced using composition and light. I work hard to capture so much of the essence of the subject in the original image, that little or no retouching is needed to preserve or enhance the authentic original photographic truth. This is what I live to capture and share as a unique visionary experience."
