Spring 2023 Zine Show

Spring 2023 Zine Show

April 10, 2023 - April 28, 2023

The zines includes in this exhibition are created by IU Southeast Fine Arts students. A zine (pronounced like the final syllable of "magazine") is a self-published, non-commercial work that is typically produced in small, limited batches. Their content may be written drawn, printed, collaged, or a creative combination of words and images; a zine's structure may be narrative, journalistic, comic-like, or completely abstract. Zines can touch on a variety of topics: personal stories, political ideologies, poetry, music-related writing, lists, tips, jokes, sequential comics, fiction and non-fiction narratives, drawings, photo musings, etc. Visitors to this exhibition are encouraged to hold, view, and read the zines in this show.

The opening reception in the IU Southeast Library Gallery is on Monday, April 10 from 4-5 p.m.
