    ARTstor is a digital library of more than one million images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and social sciences with a suite of software tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.
  • Bartlett's Quotations
    10th edition (1919) of Familiar Quotations, featuring over 11,000 searchable quotations.
  • Biography and Genealogy Master Index
    Provides an index to biographical entries found in numerous reference books. This resource has indexed entries for nearly 5 million people, living and deceased, from all time periods, geographical locations, and fields of endeavor.
  • Biography in Context (formerly Biography Resource Center)  
      
    Includes biographies of over 300,000 people, current and historic, from all eras and fields of endeavor, found in hundreds of reference books, newspapers, and magazines.
  • Book Review Index
    Provides an index to over five million book review citations from thousands of publications.
  • Britannica Online
    Consists of the online equivalent of the printed Encyclopedia Britannica plus numerous supplementary resources, including the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus, select magazine and journal articles, thousands of photographs and illustrations, and links to additional websites reviewed by the Britannica editors.
  • Career Insider (formerly Online Career Library)  
      
    A comprehensive resource for career and job search information, including insider intelligence on salaries, hiring practices and company cultures.

  • Contemporary Authors Online
    Offers access to biographical and bibliographical information on more than 120,000 modern U.S. and international authors.
  • Credo Reference
    A collection of online full-text reference titles covering all major subject areas. Allows cross-referencing between titles and expanding searches into IU's library catalog (IUCAT) and other library resources.
  • Dictionary of Literary Biography
    Provides more than 16,000 biographical and critical essays on the lives, works, and careers of some of the world's most influential literary figures from all eras and genres.

  • Opposing Viewpoints in Context (formerly Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center)  
      
    Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center provides full-text access to pro and con viewpoint essays from the well-known "Opposing Viewpoints" book series. Additional resources include reference articles for providing context, full-text magazines, academic journals, and newspapers, primary source documents, government and organizational statistics, multimedia, including images and podcasts, and links web sites providing additional information.
  • Oxford Art Online  
      
    An online art reference source that covers Western and non-Western visual art. Includes the contents of Grove Art Online as well as additional Oxford art reference resources. Provides access to artists' biographies, images of artwork, as well as information on aesthetics, art terms, art movements, styles, theory, and criticism.
  • Oxford English Dictionary  
      
    The OED covers words from across the English-speaking world, from North America to South Africa, from Australia and New Zealand to the Caribbean. It also offers the best in etymological analysis and in listing of variant spellings, and it shows pronunciation using the International Phonetic Alphabet.
  • Oxford Music Online
    An online music reference source that includes the contents of Grove Music Online as well as The Oxford Dictionary of Music and The Oxford Companion to Music. Provides access to articles on composers, performers, conductors, individual works, instruments and notation, forms, genres, and popular music.
  • Oxford Reference Online: Premium
    A continually-updated collection of language and subject dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other reference works published by Oxford University Press. All titles in the collection are cross-searchable; individual titles may be searched separately as well.
  • Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL)
    Provides writing resources and instructional materials to assist with writing projects.
  • Reaxys  
      
    A web-based search and retrieval system for chemical compounds, bibliographic data, chemical reactions. Includes access to the CrossFire Beilstein, CrossFire Gmelin and Patent Chemistry databases.
  • Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy
    A scholarly, open-access online encyclopedia covering a full range of philosophical topics.
  • Statistical Abstract of the United States
    Provides access to statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States.
    NOTE: As of October 1, 2011, statistics on this website will not be updated.
  • STATS Indiana
    Provides access to US Census statistics compiled by the Indiana Business Research Center at Indiana University.
  • Testing and Education Reference Center (TERC)  
      
    Provides over 100 preparatory guides and practice tests for college and graduate exams (ACT, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MAT, MCAT, SAT) as well as required career entry tests (ASVAB, NCLEX, PRAXIS, TESOL, etc.).
    ACCESS NOTE: Users must create their own username and password for access to the guides and practice tests.

  • Virtual Reference Library (GVRL)

    Provides access to a wealth of international data, including statistics on global finance, development, economic conditions, national governance, business, education, gender, health and nutrition, and more.
  • World Development Indicators Online
    Provides a comprehensive selection of economic, social and environmental indicators, drawing on data from the World Bank and more than 30 partner agencies. The database covers more than 900 indicators for 210 economies with data back to 1960. Browsable by country, general topic, and indicator.

    Search for books available in other libraries around the nation and the world (including Metroversity)
